Minimancer

Minimancer is a short pixel art reverse tower defence strategy game created by Lady Strella and Masta for the 2023 ‘role reversal’ GMTK game jam. In the game, you take control of the evil Minimancer as he uses his undead scourge to sew destruction across the countryside. Cast spells, manage your resources and summon hordes of undead to crush your foes.

The game contains 7 levels of increasing difficulty and gives you access to more units and spells as you progress. You attack in waves during the night and the town has a brief 20 second daytime to recover which can be skipped by pressing space. After 5 nights/waves you lose but can restart from your current level. Can you make the Minimancer’s dream of world domination come true?

Units

1 - Zombie - A slow-moving cheap unit that will make up the bulk of your forces.

2 - Skeleton - A ranged unit with a preference for attacking buildings.

3 - Bomber - A small but lighting fast skeleton with an explosive personality and an intimate relationship with walls.

4 - Giant - A tougher zombie that's double the size but, unfortunately, half as smart.

5 - Demi-Lich - A unit to be feared, Demi-liches fire devastating AOE spells from a long range but are a touch fragile. 

Spells

Q - Fireball - A quick blast of flame that burns away everything within its radius, friend or foe.

W - Heal - An AOE heal for your units to keep them UN-dead. Ba dum tish

E - Haste - An energising spell that makes all your units run and attack at double the speed for the duration.
